Hi,them i help you on the topic. After gaining independence, many African countries, in the search for national unity, selected one language (generally the former colonial language) to be used in government and education.Houston air conditioner In recent years, African countries have become increasingly aware of the importance of linguistic diversity. Language policies that are being developed nowadays are mostly aimed at multilingualism.

Education is really a big part of the problem. I am really disappointed that the big "State" universities haven't taken some sort of leadership role in building annexes in the rural areas - some sort of community college development.
A lot of the development problems will be solved if people in the rural areas could get some basic education at all levels.

I am an American married to an African man. I wanted our daughter to be bilingual in his language and in English. The best way to do this that I've read about is to have one parent speak only their language to the child from birth. Unfortunately we didn't do this. I'm wondering if others are finding it difficult to teach their language to their African/American children. Or if there's a good way to do this.

This is indeed sad and definitely shameful. I wonder where Africa would be if more of the population were educated in the sciences, and if African peoples could move past superstitious beliefs.

Hi all,

When I was in Ghana in January, I saw part of a film called Out of My Wish. I never got to finish it and it was one of those films you're always wondering how it ended. Has any one heard of this film and know how I can get it in America?

Also, what are the good websites for African movies?
