I am an American married to an African man. I wanted our daughter to be bilingual in his language and in English. The best way to do this that I've read about is to have one parent speak only their language to the child from birth. Unfortunately we didn't do this. I'm wondering if others are finding it difficult to teach their language to their African/American children. Or if there's a good way to do this.
